Abstract

Conflow is a numerical model that calculates steady-state flow of magma-gas mixtures through volcanic conduits during explosive eruptions. It is described in publications listed at the bottom of this message. A GUI written in Visual Basic which runs Conflow on Windows is available in a separate posting. An open-source Fortran version is available through the author (lgmastin@usgs.gov). NOTE:  A more recent version is also posted on vhub, Conflow 15, by Silvia Campagnola.  Conflow 15 uses updated rheological relations.
