• Biography

  I am currently a PhD student at the University of East Anglia.
  My PhD focuses on the Soufrière Hills Volcano on the island of Montserrat. My research involves two key areas (1) Magma mixing: the role of mafic enclaves in driving the current eruption (2) Evidence for degassing pathways in the shallow magmatic system. I am primarily researching Phase V (2009-2010) activity at Montserrat and use a variety of laboratory methods such as XRF, SEM, Electron probe and ICP-MS after fieldwork.
