• Biography

  I am a Chilean geologist from Rancagua (Chile). I obtained my PhD in Earth Science at the University of Manchester (United Kingdom) in 2023. I study the recent eruptive history of active volcanoes mostly in the Andes using tephra deposits, tephrostratigraphy, and detailed pyroclast analysis. My research is focused on physical volcanology, volcanic hazards, geological field mapping, igneous petrology & geochemistry, debris flows, and debris rock avalanches.
