  • Biography
I am an Australian volcanologist living in New Zealand with family roots in the volcanic islands of Lipari and Salina. I obtained a PhD in volcanology from Monash University (Melbourne, Australia) which involved a study of the eruption and emplacement processes of the last major explosive caldera-forming eruption on Tenerife and produced the Abrigo Ignimbrite. Following this, I undertook a post-doctoral research project on the physical volcanology of the Fort a la Corne kimberlite field in Saskatchewan, Canada. My current position is Lecturer in physical volcanology at the University of Waikato, New Zealand.
