Abstract

This is a spreadsheet that contains the paleo sea level indicators and proxies that were compiled and described by Gowan (2023) in the GAPSLIP paleo sea level database for Greenland. Included are the datasets in ODS and tab delimited formats. The dataset includes 1019 data points, with 647 marine limiting points, 276 index points, and 96 terrestrial limiting points. Also included is a bibtex file with all of the references to the original data. Most of the data in this dataset are from radiocarbon dates, which are uncalibrated. If you want to use the calibrated ages, these are available in the GAPSLIP database. The reason I have not included the calibrated ages is that many of these dates are from marine organisms, and after the publication of Gowan (2023), there was a new dataset of reservoir corrections that became available. I have yet to incorporate the new reservoir ages into the GAPSLIP database (as of October 1, 2024). In Gowan (2023), I used these data to evaluate the Greenland component of the PaleoMIST ice sheet and topography reconstruction.
