How do I properly upload data?

I have read the instructions, even put my data into the proper format as per the example.  But every time I run pingu (no matter how I try to upload it) it keeps telling me error.  Where am I going wrong?

    Many thanks for using (or trying using!) Pingu. Your problem sounds a bit vague, so in order to help you I would first like to have a look at your data. I am assuming your browser is working just fine as you are at the step of uploading the data, so let's take it from there. You can send me the exact file you are trying to upload (i.e. the text file, not the Excel file) to: ca.co@ed.ac.uk and will look at it asap.
